The clasp on the belt is made from plastic. It needs to be pulled tight as there is no elasticity to hold them up, and as there are no belt loops, they can't be held up without the clasp. I wore these trousers a lot and really like them but my belt clasp is broken so they fall down. If the clap was metal it would be 5*

The trousers themselves are nice, but they have a belt that is stiched in with a flimsy plastic buckle. On my second use the plastic buckle snapped. The trousers don't have belt loops and the elastic waistband isn't strong enough to keep the trousers up. So, the trousers are effectively unusable. Given how much these trousers cost, they're not worth it if the buckle simply breaks.
