Sustainability Journey

Sustainability Journey

“I’m passionate about the journey we’re on, creating mindful products, ethical practices, challenging ourselves and the status quo. We’ll continue to grow and improve, leaving no stone unturned as we stride towards carbon neutrality, circularity and leaving the smallest of footprints.”

Richard Sutcliffe ~ Founder

Our Re-Roam project has come of age this season with recycled fabrics now making themselves at home in our jackets, backpacks, t-shirts, fleece, blankets and more. We’re way ahead on the sustainability policy we set out in 2018 and we’re just getting started.

Waves & Trees

True to our roots, for every Passenger product sold we plant a tree, now and always. To date we’ve put over 80,233 varied native species in the ground all over the globe. It’s a direct and simple way for us to give back in a way that resonates with us at our core.

We are Patrons of The Rainforest Trust, joining their Conservation Circle dedicated to saving rainforests, wildlife and indigenous communities all over the world.

We’re partnered with The Plastic Project, Surfers Against Sewage and #2minutebeachclean.

Jackets
We’ve raised the bar again. Ahead of schedule we’re humbled to be able to introduce our most sustainable and versatile outerwear ever. 100% recycled outer shell, lining and insulating fill. PFC free waterproof coating and packable into it’s inside pocket. Zero plastic packaging and a tree planted for every order. Everything you need, nothing you don't.

T-Shirts, Hoodies & Sweatshirts
Our latest T-Shirts, Hoodies and Sweats range are at the cutting edge of sustainable fabrics. 50% Recycled pre and post consumer cotton and 50% Organic cotton, we’ve hit the sweet spot between day-in day-out durability and forward thinking sustainability. Our new manufacturing process uses 60% less energy than standard cotton.

Blankets
One of the most sustainable blankets out there, our new insulated Nomadic blankets are packable, versatile, and built with 100% recycled single use plastic bottles, top to bottom.

Thoughtful supply chain

Our manufacturers are based in the UK, Europe and Asia. They operate under the fair trade regulations, which goes without saying. To keep our footprint as small as possible, we opt to manufacture our products as close to the fabric source as we can. It doesn’t make environmental sense to haul fabrics and materials around the globe to be constructed elsewhere.

Our journey continues...

Reducing our impact as a company and as individuals is close to our hearts. It's a topic that drives the decisions we make on a daily basis. We’re not there yet, the road is long and we’re always looking for creative new ways to improve what we do. Protecting the places that mean the most while leaving the lightest of footprints. We’re on a journey to be the best we can be.

We’re proud of where we’ve been, what we’ve given back and what we’ve achieved. The Passenger team shares a passion for fostering real change and being on the right side of history. As a community, business and individuals we face the road ahead together.
